Programme

How can secondary use of energy data help address challenges facing the European energy ecosystem? In view of the energy crisis and the EU’s Green Deal commitments, Europe’s energy infrastructure needs to become smarter and more sustainable. This webinar explores the importance of the reuse of energy data in this context and how it can promote resource efficiency and a better integration of renewable energy into the grid.

The session will open with a policy perspective on energy data reuse for grid resilience, presented by Andries de Brouwer, Policy Officer at DG ENER. He will explain how sharing data across sectors can advance Europe’s energy and climate objectives. To provide a practical use case, Adrián Carrasco Revilla, Lead data scientist at Inetum, will showcase the European energy project COSMIC. His presentation will highlight how COSMIC employs data- and AI-enabled tools in pilots across Europe to optimise energy use and resource management. The webinar will conclude with an interactive Q&A, giving participants the opportunity to engage directly with the speakers.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with a calendar invite and webinar link. This session is part of the "Measuring the impact of open data" course by the data.europa academy and will be recorded for future access.

This webinar is open to everyone passionate about data – feel free to share it with your network!
