Text Mining: from basics to deep learning tools, ECAS-SFdS course, Fréjus (France)

The next ECAS-SFdS school will take place from October 10 to 15, 2021, on the French Riviera. The theme is “Text Mining: from basics to deep learning tools” and the course will present an introduction, the classical methods as well as the most recent advances in textual data processing. The contributions of new representations and how to process them using deep neural networks will be illustrated through industrial case studies.

17th International conference “Applied Statistics 2020” is organized by Statistical Society of Slovenia and Faculties of University of Ljubljana in September 20 – 23, 2020, Ribno (Bled), Slovenia.

The main goal of Applied Statistics 2020 conference is to provide an opportunity for researchers in statistics, data analysts, and other professionals from various statistical and related fields to come together, present their research, and learn from each other. A four days program consists of invited paper presentations, contributed paper sections from diverse topics, and starts with a workshop. Cross-discipline and applied paper submissions are especially welcome.

On behalf of the Greek Statistical Institute, we invite you and your members to participate in our 32nd annual conference, to be held from May 31st to June 2, 2019, in Ioannina, Greece. Each year the conference is hosted by the G.S.I. and a different institute. This year it is co-hosted by the Department of Mathematics of the University of Ioannina.

The aim is to bring together researchers from academia and industry in all topics in all areas of theoretical and applied statistics, from probability and operational research to bio statistics and econometric.

Both general and detailed information about the conference (on abstract submission of quality papers, regarding proposals for special sessions or seminars, social events, accommodation etc.) may be found at http://esi2019.conf.uoi.gr/?lang=en.

Following the conference, it is our practice to issue a call for the final versions of the papers presented at the conference. The papers undergo a peer review process; and a good number of them are published in our bilingual Proceedings of the Panhellenic Statistics Conference series.

Important dates:

  • Registration opens (via the portal): 30/01/2019
  • Deadline for special sessions & seminar proposals (via email to esi-stat@hol.gr): 30/03/2019

The course “Network Analysis, Inference, and Modeling NAIM 2019“, taught in English, presents an introduction and recent advances in statistical network modeling, with a special emphasis on main concepts of network analysis, sparse inference, high-dimensional data and graphical models. It will address theoretical, methodological as well as applied and practical aspects of this field.

October 6-11, 2019 – La Villa Clythia – CAES du CNRS, Fréjus, France

Dear Colleagues,

We, Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Department of Statistics are pleased to inform you that abstract submission is now open for the “11. International Statistics Days Conference” that is going to be held at elegant Kefaluka Resort Hotel embracing the deep blue of Aegean Sea, Turkey. The conference website can be accessed at www.igs2018.mu.edu.tr.

The conference provides opportunities for the participants to exchange ideas and discuss new theoretical and practical issues in their fields face to face, to establish new collaborations and to contact global partners for future collaboration.

The Scientific Committee will evaluate your prospective, valuable contributions on the topics of the conference and the ones approved to be presented will be notified soon after submission. All abstract submissions are subject to a blind peer review process. Accepted submissions will be published in the Conference Proceedings, which will later be available online on the conference website with an ISSN number. Furthermore, selected papers will be published in high profile journals.

We will spend every effort and be pleased to generate an atmosphere where you can share your knowledge, expertise, and experiences with your colleagues.
